In a previous life, it seems, I was a Massage Therapist, and I know what you’re asking!

What does that have to do with being a Soc Analyst and cybersecurity??

Well, I thought you’d never ask. After much soul searching and research it seems being a Massage Therapist may have been the best thing to prepare me to be a Soc Analyst.

I will list a few things that a Soc Analyst does, just to get this started.

  • Triage
  • Prioritize
  • Escalate
  • Documentation
  • Reduce downtime
  • Support continuity
  • Compliance

So let’s look at a little comparison Chart!

So, as you can see, I have been preparing for this role for awhile! 7 years as a Massage Therapist helped me hone the skills to be able to care for clients and prioritize, the same way a Soc Analyst does!!!

The team I join will benefit from the skills I have learned, as I know how to apply those to the Soc Analyst role as well.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed makinjg it!
